Your final project is to write a research paper on a country of your choice and a particular disease outbreak or significant health related event that has impacted their population.
Your paper should address the following components:
1.Background: A brief history and social/economic/political context of the country — remember the determinants of health
2.Summary of the Problem: The origins of thedisease/condition and its burden or impact on your country of choice
3.Public Health Actions: Major action steps taken to improve the disease/condition
4.Results: Resulting outcomes or the current state of thedisease/condition in your country of choice.
5.Recommendations: If the outbreak/health issue has been resolved, you must assess whether or not the actions taken were effective and appropriate. If the outbreak/health issue is not resolved, you must make recommendations on how to adequately address this public health issue going forward.
Important: this is considered a research paper and I expect you to use credible sources of evidence and data to support (not replace) your work. Be sure to use appropriate citations. This section should be 6-8 pages. Please see me well in advance of the final due date if you need help identifying a topic for your case study project.
