Nursing Philosophy
This project is designed to foster the development of a personal philosophy of nursing which includes the life-long process of self-reflection, identification of professional and personal values and beliefs, and application of standards, ethics, and policies into your role as a nurse. Your role as a nurse will require your awareness, appreciation, and advocacy for cultural diversity, a commitment to holistic care for the marginalized, and recognition of the commonalities, core values and beliefs which exist in all people. These beliefs act to provide a foundation of practice for culturally safe nursing care.
You may choose to write a formal paper, including your values and beliefs regarding nursing, human interaction, culture, health, and a nursing theory or model which you plan to use as a framework for your nursing practice.
All papers and summaries must be structured with a title page, introduction, body and summary, with references cited in APA format. Number of pages does not include title page and references.
