For this assessment task you are to identify several themes and characteristics of the human development perspective by creating a mindmap or a PowerPoint.
WHAT YOU WILL INCLUDE:
Characteristics of the life-span perspective. Include a definition of the perspective and an example/illustration (different from the ones given in the textbook) that illustrates the characteristic (8 characteristics covered in your textbook). Idea of “contextualism” and the meaning of normative age-graded influences, normative history-graded influences, and nonnormative life events. You are to provide an example/illustration of each of the three, different from the textbook. Concerns in life-span development, what each means and an example/illustration of each, different from your textbook (4 concerns covered in your textbook). Domains of development and a definition of each (3 covered in your textbook). Periods of development, a definition of each period, and an illustration of someone who fits each period (8 covered in your textbook). Four conceptions of age and their definitions with illustrations/pictures representing the concepts. Developmental Issue of nature/nurture, definitions, and examples/illustrations of each different from the ones in your textbook. Developmental Issue of continuity/discontinuity, definitions and examples/illustrations of each different from the ones in your textbook. Developmental issue of stability/change, definitions and examples/illustrations of each different from the ones in your textbook. Provide a personal example and illustrations for each item listed above.
