Data loss at Home depot
In my project, I would like to discuss the data breach that was discovered in September 2014 at Home Depot. Cyberthieves attacked their network and stole information from 56 million credit and debit cards. The data loss was worse than what happened to Target in 2013. Home depot declared the breach had cost $62 million, and that it could climb in the fourth quarter.
In my paper, I’m going first to start with data loss in general and then describe how the data loss happened, and how it was discovered. Then, how they eliminated the problem. And then conclude with what lessons did they learn from the incident
